Ahead of APC Campaign rally today in Bekwarra Local Gov’t Area, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has received scores of prominent opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Members/Supporter’s in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State, including the ward chairman of Beten. The defectors  Mr. Mathew Oko, Peter Odama, Mrs Angela Oko, Godwin Achoda Bisong, Cecilia Odey, Samuel Okpodu, Ekunke Igbagri, others,   were received by Hon.(Prince) Edward Ajang, the Candidate of the party cum Member representing Bekwarra state constituency in the Cross River House of Assembly. Watch Videos ⬇️  The new APC members cited alleged injustice within PDP, as well as Governor Ayade’s developmental strides in Bekwarra. They also said that they joined APC sequel to the ”visible performances of Hon. Eddy the APC Legislator and other political appointees. They commended APC for fielding credible candidates for the 2023 General Elections.

Buhari appoints new Acting FRSC Corps Marshal

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dauda Biu as the Acting Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), after the retirement of Mr Boboye Oyeyemi. Oyeyemi said this when he handed over to Biu at the FRSC headquarters on Monday in Abuja as contained in a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO) Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Bisi Kazeem. Amaechi said delegates who allowed money to influence their decision during the presidential primary are now regretting it. N’Assembly Transmits Amended 2021 Electoral Act to Buhari for Assent

The National Assembly has transmitted the 2021 Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill it passed this month to President Muhammadu Buhari for his assent. The two chambers of the National Assembly had earlier this month passed the Electoral Act Amendment Bill making provision for electronic transmission of election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and adoption of direct primaries by the parties for the election of their candidates in future polls. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Babajide Omoworare, who made this known yesterday, stated that the bill had been transmitted to President Buhari yesterday. He said, “Please be informed that in pursuance of Section 58 (3) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and the Acts Authentication Act Cap. A2 LFN 2004, the National Assembly has transmitted the Electoral Bill 2021 to Mr. President today Friday, November 19, 2021.” Chairman
