Ahead of APC Campaign rally today in Bekwarra Local Gov’t Area, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has received scores of prominent opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Members/Supporter’s in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State, including the ward chairman of Beten. The defectors  Mr. Mathew Oko, Peter Odama, Mrs Angela Oko, Godwin Achoda Bisong, Cecilia Odey, Samuel Okpodu, Ekunke Igbagri, others,   were received by Hon.(Prince) Edward Ajang, the Candidate of the party cum Member representing Bekwarra state constituency in the Cross River House of Assembly. Watch Videos ⬇️  The new APC members cited alleged injustice within PDP, as well as Governor Ayade’s developmental strides in Bekwarra. They also said that they joined APC sequel to the ”visible performances of Hon. Eddy the APC Legislator and other political appointees. They commended APC for fielding credible candidates for the 2023 General Elections.

Commuters Stranded As Lagos Drivers Begins Strike, (Watch Video)

Some commuters were left stranded this morning as commercial bus drivers under the aegis of the Joint Drivers Welfare Association of Nigeria began a seven-day boycott of Lagos roads. The drivers are protesting the alleged extortion by men of the motor parks and garages management in the state.  In a statement jointly signed by its chairman Opeyemi Sulaiman and secretary Ajimatanarareje Feyisayo, the protesting drivers decried the “indiscriminate extortion and violent harassment” by transport agencies, thugs, the police, and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). JDWAN particularly complained about the actions of Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee members headed by Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo, ex-chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). One shot as workers of Dangote resists state govt's closure, (video).

The Kogi State Government, on Wednesday, disclosed that one of the youths that had trooped to support the sealing of the Dangote Cement Company, Obajana, in solidarity with the House of Assembly resolution, was sh*t by gunmen allegedly hired by the company to forcefully stop the implementation of the resolution.  A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information in the state, Kingsley Fanwo, said the youth, yet-to-be-identified, was currently receiving treatment at a government hospital in Lokoja.  The state government expressed its total support for the decision of the Kogi State House of Assembly to seal the Dangote Cement Company over ownership tussle between the Government and the Dangote Group.  Read also:  Ethiopian Government reportedly placed a ban on visa on arrival for Nigerians. Ongoing: Serious Protest In Sierra Leone Over Cost Of Living, PHOTOS,VIDEO

Some citizens of Sierra Leone on Wednesday protested in parts of the capital,  Freetown and other locations over the increased cost of living amongst other concerns. Terrorists Kill one officer, injured two others in a fresh immigration office attack. Videos from the protests showed there were breakouts of violence.  An internet blockade has also been reported with a curfew imposed.
