Tensions As Scores Of PDP Members/Supporters Dump Party, Defect To APC In Bekwarra, Collapsed All Structures For Hon.(Prince) Edward I. Ajang, (VIDEOS)

Ahead of APC Campaign rally today in Bekwarra Local Gov’t Area, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has received scores of prominent opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Members/Supporter’s in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State, including the ward chairman of Beten. The defectors  Mr. Mathew Oko, Peter Odama, Mrs Angela Oko, Godwin Achoda Bisong, Cecilia Odey, Samuel Okpodu, Ekunke Igbagri, others,   were received by Hon.(Prince) Edward Ajang, the Candidate of the party cum Member representing Bekwarra state constituency in the Cross River House of Assembly. Watch Videos ⬇️  The new APC members cited alleged injustice within PDP, as well as Governor Ayade’s developmental strides in Bekwarra. They also said that they joined APC sequel to the ”visible performances of Hon. Eddy the APC Legislator and other political appointees. They commended APC for fielding credible candidates for the 2023 General Elections.

‘I’m Not Ayade’s boy’, Cross River Lawmaker Provokes.

The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom , has denied being Governor Ben Ayade ’s ‘boy’ as the governor allegedly claimed at a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress. Responding to the Governor’s claim in a statement titled ‘Putting the Records Straight and Exposing the Lies of Gov Ayade’, Jarigbe said, “I am in my 50s and Ayade is in his 50s, from the records in his preferred Age Declaration. I never heard of the name, Ayade, in Cross River State, until I turned 36, when he came to run for the Senate Primary Election against Senator Greg Ngaji and I was running for the House of Representatives. “He was asked not to run because he was a political neophyte and could not stand the storm of going against Sen Greg Ngaji. I took part in that House of Reps Primary election and it was skewed for Hon Gabe Edi. Just In: Gov. Ayade Signs Law Expanding The Jurisdiction Of Cross River Magistrate Court.

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has signed the State’s Magistrate Jurisdiction Law 2022. The law which increases the jurisdiction of magistrate courts in the State on civil matters was signed on Thursday, 3 November 2022. Speaking at the event, the governor said with the law in place, the administration of justice is closer to the people. “The social import of this exercise is that we are taking the administration of the law closer to our people so that those who need to approach the courts will not have to look for a High Court, but can now access justice anywhere there is a magistrate just because of the increased jurisdiction. “With this, access to law, access to legal services, access to justice is now closer to our people,” Mr. Ayade said. Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, stole the show in an event which  took place today at the Conference room of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as he  receives the Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS), few days after receiving National Award by President Buhari. Former president Goodluck Jonathan and 43 other prominent Nigerians were also honoured with service awards by President Muhammadu Buhari.  16 other state governors, including Nyesom Wike of Rivers State; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and service chiefs were honoured with various awards for their services. Governor Ayade Introduces Made-In-Nigeria Noodles, (PHOTOS).

The governor of Cross River, Professor Benedict Ayade, has disclosed that a made-in-Cross River noodle will soon hit the market. Ayade made this known via his Facebook page on Thursday. Governor Ayade locks out civil servants from accessing offices.

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade The Governor of Cross River State, Prof Ben Ayade, on Wednesday locked out civil servants attached to his office in Calabar for arriving late to the office. The action of the governor followed his return from a long trip out of the state and on resumption of work on Wednesday, workers who were not on duty at that time were barred from entering their offices. Speaking on the issue, the Head of Service, Dominic Akwaji, said the workers were locked out because of lateness.
