Ahead of APC Campaign rally today in Bekwarra Local Gov’t Area, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has received scores of prominent opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Members/Supporter’s in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State, including the ward chairman of Beten. The defectors  Mr. Mathew Oko, Peter Odama, Mrs Angela Oko, Godwin Achoda Bisong, Cecilia Odey, Samuel Okpodu, Ekunke Igbagri, others,   were received by Hon.(Prince) Edward Ajang, the Candidate of the party cum Member representing Bekwarra state constituency in the Cross River House of Assembly. Watch Videos ⬇️  The new APC members cited alleged injustice within PDP, as well as Governor Ayade’s developmental strides in Bekwarra. They also said that they joined APC sequel to the ”visible performances of Hon. Eddy the APC Legislator and other political appointees. They commended APC for fielding credible candidates for the 2023 General Elections.

Cross River Lawmaker Hon. Edward Ajang Thank Gov. Ayade For Offering 150 State Gov’t Scholarship To Constituent’s.

The Member representing Bekwarra in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. (Prince) Edward I. Ajang has hailed the State Government, the Digital Governor, on the decision to offer scholarship to indigenous students of tertiary institutions from Bekwarra as well as the State in general. 

The Member made this statement on receipt of 150 State Government Scholarship Forms on behalf of Bekwarra Local Government from the Director General, Cross River State Scholarship Board for onward distribution to Stakeholders and tertiary institutions Students of Bekwarra. 


Eddy described His Excellency's decision in this regards as a show of empathy to parents at this difficult time. Hon. He also urged his constituents who are qualified to obtain, fill the application form and return as directed therein.









Consequently, the following persons are to be contacted for the forms free of charge. The undergraduate students are to contact Senator Stephen Odama Ede (President), National Association of Bekwarra Students Worldwide Phone No: 08128707568, while Postgraduate Students are to obtain forms from Engr. Jacob Owan (Coordinator) Phone No:07015237555.


The President National Association of Bekwarra Physically Challenged Students, Mr. Odey Simon with Phone No: 08073494858 is responsible for the issuance of forms to the Physically Challenged Students of Bekwarra.


Mr Augustine Ogar Secretary of Bekwarra Traditional Rulers Council is in custody of the forms for the Paramount Ruler and Clan heads. 


The Leaders/Stakeholders are to liaise with Mr Francis Ebeshi and Agabar Micheal, aides to the House of Assembly member for the forms.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that hackers attacked its result viewing (IReV) portal during the recent Ekiti and Osun states’ elections.  This was stated by the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, on Friday in Abuja while delivering the keynote address at a stakeholders' conference on election result management. A civic society organization (CSO), YIAGA Africa, organised the meeting to introduce the election result analysis dashboard (ERAD) report agenda. “Another technical concern for us is the repeated attempts to break through our cyber security system for the portal,” he said. “Our engineers reported several cyberattacks on the portal during the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections, some of them from as far as Asia.
