A mother-of-two, identified as Mrs. Blessing Eno, has been arrested by the police in Cross River State for allegedly beheadding her 11-month-old son in the Yonen community of Ugep, Yakurr LGA of the state. The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday, November 29. Vanguard reports that the suspect, who may be suffering from Schizophrenia (Mental Disorder), took out a matchet and cut  off the head of the baby, claiming that the child was disturbing her and a spirit instructed her to slaughter the boy. Buhari said he was given a list of 30 presidential aspirants most of whom are his cabinet members and state governors to choose from. President Muhammadu Buhari (TheNation) Forty days after the All Progressives Congress ’ special convention and presidential primary, President Muhammadu Buhari opened up on why he didn’t endorse any presidential aspirant.  Buhari said the former governor of Lagos State,   Bola Tinubu  emerged as the party’s flagbearer for the 2023 presidential election because the delegates were allowed to pick the candidate of their choice.   The president said this when he paid a Sallah visit to the Emir of Katsina, Dr.  Abdulmumin Usman Kabir,  at his palace on Saturday, July 16, 2022. On why he didn’t endorse any presidential aspirant, Buhari said during the build-up to the party’s primary, he was given a list of 30 aspirants to pick from. A faction of the Osun State  All Progressives Congress , The Osun Progressives(TOP), has said it remained committed to the ideals of the party and would work to ensure that the party emerged victorious on Saturday. Mr Adeoti lost the primaries to Mr Oyetola and went to court to challenge the outcome. TOP’s statement is coming 24 hours after a Federal high court in Abuja dismissed a suit filed by Mr Adeoti challenging the nomination of Mr Oyetola as the governorship candidate of the party.
