A mother-of-two, identified as Mrs. Blessing Eno, has been arrested by the police in Cross River State for allegedly beheadding her 11-month-old son in the Yonen community of Ugep, Yakurr LGA of the state. The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday, November 29. Vanguard reports that the suspect, who may be suffering from Schizophrenia (Mental Disorder), took out a matchet and cut  off the head of the baby, claiming that the child was disturbing her and a spirit instructed her to slaughter the boy. The Federal Government, yesterday, said it had concluded a plan to enlist additional 400,000 youths for the Batch C N-Power programme in the country. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, who revealed the plan in Kano, said the next stream is targeted at equipping the youths with life-long skills. Farouq, who was represented by the Deputy Director, Finance and Account in the ministry, Muhammad Sambo, spoke at the closing ceremony for over 3,000 youths from the North-West zone trained in software and hardware skills under the Batch C1 of the N-Knowledge component of the N-Power programme. “It is no longer news that the President has approved that N-Power is expanded to accommodate one million beneficiaries.
